Gridview data binding

Hello all,
I am trying to use gridview data binding in ASP.net 2.0 using VB.net. In Grid view task- Update, Delete, Edit are not available for selection. Can anyone tell me why? your help is greatly appreciated. I am new to .net by the way. Thanks,

Reconfigure the Datasource and click the Advaned button. There is an option to generate Update And delete staments.

I have tried that but the all check box are disabled.

then you don't have a primary key on the table. You need to add one.
