Hi,

I have a user connecting to our network over VPN, he can connect up fine, but when he goes to access our main server he gets a username/password dialog box, but the username is greyed out with "Guest" written in it, therefore he cannot login... is there a simple solution to this?

Thanks
Steve

Seems that your network allows guest only.
Check all the following registry keys (the value should be 0 to allow a login box):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\controlSet\Control\Lsa\forceguest

Hope This Helps, PH.

they are set to 0 on all control sets (controlset1,controlset2,currentcontrolset)

I assume that is what you meant?

Thanks

Steve
