I am using Framemaker 7.2 on a PC platform. Was previously using 5.5 on MAC, but this is the first time I am typesetting a book on the PC version, and I have been experiencing some troubles.
The MIF file I use to import into FM has a large number of graphics referenced in it.
When I open the file on the PC, FM finds all the graphic files correctly, but when it opens thedy all display as grey boxes.
I have checked that the graphics are all compatible for a PC platform, adn they are. They are all .bmp files and open fine in other programs on the PC.
The odd thing is that if I just go: File, Import and import one of the graphics manually, then the graphic appears fine - no problem at all.
So the problem seems to be when I import the MIF file into FM - it is not displaying the graphics correctly.
Any suggestions or help is much appreciated. Thanks.
