All 7 of our lines should play our recorded Company Greeting that is set up for any time receptionist doesn't pick up after 4 rings. The only one that works right is a line we call from outside to go directly to our mailbox that only rings once.

The callers instead get this: "'General Delivery Mailbox' is not available at the moment; At the tone record your message. To end your recording, Press number sign. To reach an operator, press 0."

Why would one work and not the others. I have gone over and over the settings for the Tables & Lines.

Thanks,

Shey

Hey, Shey!

First, the obvious. Make sure, under Lines in your AA, that you have the Auto Attendant answering the lines. (F)983, Sys Admin password; press AA, then Lines. Check that Answer is set to Yes on these lines.

Also, make sure your line numbering matches up. Line 7 is actually Line 27 (Line 33 on 6.0 software). That is the most common error I've seen made on AA answering. Hope that helps!

Hey Bob904, thanks in advance:

Yes, these I've gone thru. I actually have Answer:AA on my display, not yes, Table 1, 4 Rings. My version I think is 4.1.

Any other suggestions?

Here's a couple of suggestions:

Set the Receptionists phone to 5-6 rings and that shoud take care of the problem.

If not...Make sure the DRT set is the voicemail DN, NOT the receptionist's DN.

Check the receptioists Forward on Busy to make sure it is set to none....

If that doesn't take care of it, then the are a couple of other things to check, but try those first.

Metroman.

Yikes; I changed the rings to 5 on all. That didn't work so I changed all back to 4 rings except the special line we call for mailbox to 1 ring (Appear only at receptionist desk) and it rings 4 times before the Company Greeting.

I did check to see that receptionists' Forward on Busy was set to none.

This I need spelled out: Make sure the DRT set is the voicemail DN, NOT the receptionist's DN.

Thanks in advance.

One more thing...... Feature 982, password: operator (67372867)
Make sure business is open. attendant is available and answer lines is set to yes.

Make sure that no one who has the outside lines ringing on their phone is forward no answer to the first port of the voicemail in a fewer amount of rings than the AA is picking up.

DRT to Prime. Delayed Ring transfer to the Prime Set on the line.
To check this setting go into programming

Terminals& Sets - Next until you see
System progrmming - Show
Hunt groups - Next until you see
Feature Settings - Show
Backgrnd music: Y - Next until you see
DRT to Prime: Y - Press Next
DRT Delay: 3 - Press the change button and set it to 10ish.

To all who helped:

All is well!!

I changed the DRT to 10, then I changed the mumber of rings before forwarding on the receptionists phone. (Feature 266344; 23646).

Thank you very much!
