I am attempting to install GP10 on a 2008 R2 box and am getting the following error:
"You do not have permission to open the file".

I have tried the following install attempts:

1. Install from local folder (desktop), logged in as local admin, and under the change user /install CLI.

2. Install from local folder (desktop), logged in as local admin, run as administrator and under the change user /install CLI.

Has anyone run into this in the past? Any insight to this is greatly appreciated.

Add your Domain User to the Administrator Group and then log in using your domain account.

Kiah, are you on a domain or is the computer a non-domain server?

klewis, wouldn't it matter if the server were a peer-to-peer or domain member (or PDC or other)?

Thanks to all for the replies.
I contacted our GP support provider and was told this was a "Bug" and it does not impact the install.. wether this is true or not I am unsure.
