All of the graphics in the quark file I'm trying to print to PDF are originally in color. I print to PDF and some go to black and white, and a lower "dotty" quality. I've replaced the graphics and tried printing again with the same result.

Any ideas how to change this?

Thanks!

Are you printing with your graphic output set to high resolution or draft/low quality? Check the print dialog for Quark.

Why is everyone in this forum responding to me as picklefish?

I'm printing at a high resolution (600 dpi). There are 11 graphics and only 3 get dotty and lose color. I've tried replacing the graphics and reprinting with no change. Can graphics or their boxes become corrupted?

The images were all the same format, and I've also tried changing them out and replacing them with a different format.

Are they duotones? I don't think Acrobat displays these in colour but should output ok

Maybe change the background color of the box to white. Or try disabling OPI (under the OPI tab in print dialog) when you print.

I had this problem 2 years ago it turned out to be a corrupt driver I went on the internet and got a new one.
