Graphics Not Printing

I have a report with a couple of graphics/pictures at the top. When the report prints they often do not show up. They show ok on the print preview, but the physical copy just has the box surrounding them.

They are both gif images, are embedded in the report and are in the same directory as the database.

Suggestions?



Knowlegeable enough just to cause serious problems.

How are you placing the images into the report? Are you using code? If so, you need to share the code.

I just used the toolbar to place an image. In the properties it is "drive:\directory\imagename.gif"

You might want to convert the image to a BMP image.

Does it help to switch off the "fast laser printing" of the form? If not, does it help to change the image printing settings of the printer?

Your suggestions might help. Since I haven't had the problem and can't duplicate, you may need to troubleshoot these and report back. Did you attempt to change the image to BMP?

Changed to a bmp, still the same problem. I'll try the ones Donquichote suggested. I also enlarged the "box" the image is in.

I'll report back this afternoon.

Ok, here's some more.

If I use <Ctrl> <P> the report prints without the graphic. If I click on the print icon in the menu the graphic will print.

Is that weird or what!

I just had this same problem, and I followed DonQuichote's suggestion above. I changed the printer quality settings from &quot;Fast Normal&quot; to &quot;Normal&quot;, and the graphics printed fine! Easy solution!!!
