A query for those of you who are feeling less muddled than me.

I have a huge spreadsheet of international people, and would love to be able to make a flashy world map which would list contacts in the country/region when I scolled over that particular part of the map.

Possible using Excel in conjunction with another program? I can't think of anything that I've used before that would do this - ideally the spreadsheet would update the map automatically too.

It's just a musing (it would be lovely, but it's not required), but I'm not entirely sure it's possible?

Hi,

One of the things that I would explore is Drawing in Charts. John Walkenbach as an excellent book titled Excel Charts in which there are two salient points in reference to your question...

1. Making pictures (maps) in charts.

2. Using Chart Event procedures that includes the mouse move event.

This takes VBA Code. Please post in the VBA Visual Basic for Applications (Microsoft) Forum707 if you have specific code-related questions.

Thanks for the answers folks - will look into it and come back to you if I'm stuck again!

Aye, aye, Captain. Did not know that. Thank you for "navigating" us to that.
