Nice work!
Do you diagram sentences in your spare time? You got 9/10 correct.

Well I used to diagram sentences getting my Masters degree in English from Leiden University (Holland)... should have been 10/10...

Frankly, sentence diagramming was probably the single most helpful skill I ever learned in English. I am waaaay disappointed that it is not a required skill in schools today. It's probably the least expensive way to ensure that "no child is left behind" in learning English grammar.

What is sentence diagramming? Is it the same as parsing sentences... which we used to do ad nauseum in my grammar school :-(

Cheers E-Squared, looks a lot more dynamic and representative than the parsing I remember.

9/10. Can't believe I missed lay/laid after hearing it a thousand times from my Dad while growing up. I thought the "is/were coolest kid" was a bit of a toss-up.

Guess our minds fathomed a similar thread of logic.

Gah! Another 9/10 score.

Someday I'm going to learn that dang Lie Lein Lay Lei Laid Lion Lied Lain Lane Line thing. Maybe it's today, but I doubt it.

[red]Note;[/red][gray] I threw the extraneous words Lein, Lei, Lion, Lane, and Line into that sentence based on their homophonic quality, not because I thought they were part of the equation. Relax.[/gray]
