Hi

I have a GPO to prevent downloads of user roaming profiles at our DR site. Specifically:

[ol]
[li]Computer Configuration -> Admin Templates -> System -> User Profiles -> Prevent Roaming Profile Changes from propogating to the server[/li]
[li]Computer Configuration -> Admin Templates -> System -> User Profiles -> Only allow local user profiles[/li]
[/ol]
The RSoP data shows the GPO is applying but, users are still getting their roaming profiles. Argh!

What gives?

Just for a little more detail, the description of the "Only allow local user profiles" setting states
"If you enable this setting, the following occurs on the affected computer: At first logon, the user receives a new local profile, rather than the roaming profile. At logoff, changes are saved to the local profile. All subsequent logons use the local profile."
Looking at one of the user's profiles in Windows (via Properties of 'My Computer') it shows the profile as being Local - but it contains her favourites, desktop settings and so on.

Grrr.

Just use "Only allow local user profiles". You don't need both.
