Hi! everybody
After i have problem with HBA that previously posted, I have to config GPFS on AIX system, after i connect my system p can see HDD on SAN storage:
>lsdev -Cc disk
hdisk0 Available 03-08-00-5,0 16 Bit LVD SCSI Disk Drive
hdisk1 Available 03-08-00-8,0 16 Bit LVD SCSI Disk Drive
hdisk2 Available 00-08-02 1742-900 (900) Disk Array Device

i installed soft for GPFS:

lslpp -l gpfs\*
Fileset Level State Description
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Path: /usr/lib/objrepos
gpfs.base 2.3.0.7 COMMITTED GPFS File Manager
gpfs.msg.en_US 2.3.0.6 COMMITTED GPFS Server Messages - U.S.
English

Path: /etc/objrepos
gpfs.base 2.3.0.7 COMMITTED GPFS File Manager

Path: /usr/share/lib/objrepos
gpfs.docs.data 2.3.0.6 COMMITTED GPFS Server Manpages and
Documentation

But i don't know how to mount or how to access this hdisk, could anyone know about that, or have documents to config it. I read IBM redbook but still can not.

Thanks

Hi!

I want to ask is there anyone know my problem about gpfs.
i finish on how to setup gpfs on Pseries-AIX5.03.But i face with a problem, the speed when i write or read from gpfs, it slower than on local disk(the local disk is about 30MBps(Mirror) for gpfs is about 13MBps(RAID 10)).
I've searched the document but can not find.

Thanks

Could you please do the following:

lsvg internelVG

lsvg gpfsVG

lspv hdiskX (where hdiskX is one of the disks inside the internelVG)

lspv hdiskY (Where hdiskY is one of the disks inside the gpfsVG)

It might be because of the LTG size difference!

Regards,
Khalid
