GPEDIT does not work on one machine

Hi Guys,

I have done some searching for this and I havent been able to find anything relevant.

It appears that on one machine, I cannot add any type of policy via GPEDIT, I am not sure what has happened to this sytem, but when I make any change to the user policy, it does not filter through to the users login.

Can anyone shed any light as to why it may be doing this? I am truly stumped, after spending 4 hours on it.

Everything kind of depends on other settings that are possible. See the following sites as to how to adjust the application of changed GPOs in your setting. There are several variables involved:

OK, sorted it.

Appears to be a problem with this computers connection to the domain, the policy is affecting the local computer only.

Removed it from the domain, joined again and its now working.
