Do you know of any VPN provider that you can recommend? I'm looking for a VPN provider that costs less than $75/month, the less the better and that let's me use OpenVPN or PPTP as client. Other than that the important thing is that they have a pretty reliable servers and that they are reputable in that they won't monitor my traffic and steal bank login details or stuff like that.

Please recommend VPN providers you think are doing a good job and fit the description above!

Thanks!

I will use this for secure internet usage. I don't need to to allow computers to communicate in a network.

I just wanted to specify so you know more what I'm looking for.

- under $75
- secure
- reliable

that's all. Is there any VPN provider that meets this?

You aren't looking for a VPN you are looking to surf the internet anonymously?

I think he wants all traffic encrypted, incoming and outgoing. That's all a vpn reeally does---hides everything, including the IP address (IPSec), along with authentication, security keys, etc.
Get a good firewall, or a Cisco router with an advanced security/enterprise image on it. Zone Alarm is good, and will encrypt outgoing traffic like bank info, ssn's, etc. with an MD5 hash (one-way).

I'm sorry not for specifying myself better! Sorry for taking your time!

What I'm looking for is to get an additional IP number and to get that additional IP number through a VPN provider. Basically surfing anonymously.

Do you know of any reliable VPN providers for this cause?

VPN are growing in popularity at the moment. Don't use a free one! The risk is too high that they are crooks and probably have bad servers, i use vpn from for 3 months and never it disconnected. It uses pptp so it's secure enough.
