We are in the process of planning an Exchange 2000 migration and I would like to know what book you would recommend for an Exchange Administrator?

I picked up Exchange 2000 24/7 by John Bee, anybody like this one?

Thanks in advance,
Vos [peace]

You might also want to read up Q316886, if you don't already know about it. It help me a lot.

Thanks akstech.

That was the first article I found when we started the whole process.

Did you do an inplace upgrade or use a swing server?

Thanks,

What I actually did was installing 2k ex on a new computer then I did the migration according to the Q article. When doing the migration make sure you have a one to one accounts/mailbox, I lost some of my accounts because of that. Any there is more Q article referenced in the first one. Good luck.

Tony Redmonds Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server is Essential for understanding Exchange but will assume a certain understanding.

A lot of books will assume you have the Resource Kit so you should also consider that essential.

I use the Jim McBee book 24/7 which was previously recommended. I think it is a great reference book and is working at a lower level of understanding, it also is newer so it takes in to consideration SP2. Tony's book was written with the Beta version.

Down the line I would highly suggest getting Mike Daughertys Monitoring and Managing Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.

The best resource is of course using the Microsoft website and everything is there.

This shold set you up nicely.

Nathan

Thanks Nathan.

Fotunately, my company always buys the resource kit, as they should. Good tip about picking up Mike Daugherty's book as well, I give that some thought.
