I am looking into purchasing some decent computer speakers for my personal computer. I want something nice but I do not want to spend more that 150-200 dollars for some speakers. Id perfer to actually spend under 100. I am looking to get 2 speakers and a subwoofer type combination. I want something with a hard hitting woofer so I can have the most intense jam sessions. Please, could anyone suggest some good speakers?

In My experience Creative has always made the best speaker systems from the standard 2 speaker system, all the way up the 7.1 Dolby Digital surround. I own the Inspire P7800. and its awesome with Movies and Music, as it is with Games.

This is a 2.1 setup. Just like the one you mentioned.

You can also try Amazon for other Creative Setups for less the 100 dollars. Most of trhem are on Sale.

hope this helps you.

sbudzynski,

I personally do not use my PC for music listening, but have read many reviews. LogiSys comes out on top in many "speaker shootout reviews".

So I would recommend that you look at some of the reviews or just look at "LogiSys" for your selection. As listening is mainly personal taste each supplier has certian good points.

I also agree Vacunita, Creative are rock-solid....

BOSE has a setup for PC , it's about $300 CAD for 2 spkr + sub , but the quality is crystal clear , BOSE Companion 3 Pkg, is the model number

Good luck!

You'll want something with at least 25W RMS power to the sub. Klipsch is another top of the line mainstream, though it's the most expensive and there are better speakers out there from smaller companies. Creative has some of the better 2.1 rigs that won't put a hole in your wallet.

Here are the ones I would recommend for your price range, from cheapest to most expensive:

Creative I-Trigue 3300 43W

Cyber Acoustics A3780 180W

Klipsch Promedia GMX 78W

I think im gonna try out the cyber acoustics one and see how its works out for me! The reviews on them were pretty solid. Thanks for all your help!

You're welcome! Let us know sometime how it works out for you. I've been looking at those myself!

Cyber Acoustins are also great speaker systems, but I still lean towards Creative. I've always owned Creative products, ranging from Sounblaster Sound cards to Mp3 players, amd have never had any problems.
But yes Cyber Acoustic ones are pretty good to.

Lets know how they turn out, and I'm glad we could be of assistance.

I saw that the subwoofer was 100watts and the reviews all said it was pretty good. Plus the price! I will def. let you know how it works out! How about this, if my roommates and close neighbors hate it, then it must be a good system!
