I have been very successful compressing the video of my movies, but the audio always keep the filesizes up for me. Are there any good codecs out there that produce a good result while at the same time reducing filesize? Right now I'm not compressing the audio at all. I've tried the mpeg3-codec but it always results in an error-message.

Any help would be extremely appreciated.

I have downloaded this codec and installed it but Mp3 (nor for that matter anything new) compression does not come up as an option in the audio compression section of the export settings. What am I doing wrong??

Hi there
I am having the same problem
Upon installing the codec it does not show up as an option under AUDIO to use it for encoding the video & audio

Ok. I've discovered that it is the prem60.ini that is stopping the codec coming up in the export options since when you modify the ini file a whole range of new codecs are available. However, when I then tried to export a movie with mpeg-3 sound, an error message comes up, suggesting disk full as a reason. However, since the clip was 10secs long and I have the best part of 40gigs to play with this seems unlikely. Any ideas? Please can expert help me???
