Hi guys & Gals,

I have Adobe CS and would like to learn how to produce a website in golive CS. I have searched the internet for tutorials, but have not found any for CS - plenty for CS2 however.

Can anybody tell me where I can fid a decent tutorial for CS on the net?

Thanks in advance,

Andy

No, not one that includes a tutorial or anything that explains how to use golive CS for that matter!

I would appreciate any help you could give.

Check the installation CD. There should be a PDF manual that is quite explicit on how to produce a web site.

Hello~

I have been creating my webpage by using GoLive CS. I use Safari as my browser and it looks great, but when I view it in other browsers like Explorer everything looks horrible! How can I fix this. Is it Go Live? I would love any thoughts or suggestions. Thanks in advance!

The problem there isn't with GoLive, it's with IE. Safari and other alternative browsers like firefox follow the standards. IE does not. It can be difficult but is usually possible to create a design that will look the same in IE, or reasonably close to the same (something might be positioned a little more left or right), as all other browsers.

Ultimately, i think the only way to learn how to do that is through experience. Test everything with both IE and a standards client browser.

Personally i design with Firefox in mind. That way i know i'm following the standards. I have enough experience with IE to predict how the same thing will look in it. Once i've done the design in firefox i test it in IE and make any needed adjustments.

If you want to get specific you're right. But for newbies i find it easier to say firefox follows standard and IE doesn't then it is to accurately explain everything.

It is certainly a good general rule that you follow. Another general rule may be to design primarily for IE since the majority of the world uses IE. Then one can go back and make it work for FF. One can go either way.

Yes go to lynda.com
There are many tutorials on various design and web programs.
