I am trying to make a scene of a golf course hole - have got X Y Z data, and can get it imported to byrce. However, all the defination of the terrain is lost!

Am sure it has soemthing to do with the cell size/resoltuion or number of polygons, can u tell em how to correct this!

2nd - how can i create a texture for a small area, not a global covergae eg sand for the bunker!

Any help would b awesome¬

Thanks in advance

This does sound like a terrain resoloution problem.

Select the Terrain and click the little "E" button, to go into the terrain editor, and over the left-hand side, will be a series of tools, one of them looks like a whole bunch of little squares arranged to form a bigger square. This is the terrain resolution thingy. it's probably set to 256x256 at the mo, which is pretty small. click and change it to at least 1024x1024.

Note, the higher the res, the longer it'll take for changes to update in the terrain editor, just wait a few seconds and it'll all work.

Hope this helps.
