Hey guys,

Just got Goldmine 6.7 installed along with Crystal Reports 9 running at my new job.

Is there a trick in connecting Crystal Reports with the Goldmine 6.7 database?

At my old job, I previously used Crystal Reports 9 with an earlier version of Goldmine (5 or 6.0 I think?) and had no problem mapping Crystal reports to the Contact1 and Contact2 Databases.

With the new installation, when I direct Crystal Reports to my Goldmine directory, those database files are not available for me to choose. I have physically searched the Goldmine installation folder as well and cannot find the database files.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanx!

Firstly are you using a dBase or SQL database for GoldMine?

Is there an ODBC driver setup to allow Crystal to Talk to the GoldMine Tables?

I believe it is SQL, part of the installation invluded the Frontrange/Microsoft SQL server install disk.

Don't know about the ODBC driver, how can I check if the driver is installed?

Goto the control panel and select Admin Tools>>Data Sources>>System DSN under the tab there should be a reference to Goldmine(normallY) where the Driver is SQL.

If not set one up by selectin ADD and follow the wizard. you will need to know an SQL login and password to complete this.

Thank you,

I have that login info - I'll check on this first thing in the morning.

Thank you jasonwienert !!!

That was it, as soon as I identified the "GOLDMINE" SQL Driver in Windows, I connected to the Goldmine Database files using Crystal Reports!

Thanx Again!
