I have to reinstall goldmine 6.5 under fully patches XP SP3 - somehow its lost the BDE locations/installation

BUT the install starts but does nothing just sits in processes

How can I get it to actually install under XP

admin rights & exception protection off make no difference

neither does BDE install run properly

Urgent as am now locked out of my business emails etc

There should be no issue with the install under XP SP3. If you feel comfortable, check the registry for other installations of Borland. If you find any, rename the key to Borland_Old. Look in the Current User and Local Machine Software hives.

Thanks for the feedback, however there is only one instance of Borland - from Goldmine & the computer is a fresh re-install from scratch

What is the issue with IE6, by default if the system is patched to SP3 then IE7 or 8 is installed

There is no issue with IE7 or IE8 as long as you are using GoldMine Premium, and not GoldMine Standard. You see GoldMine incorporates the IE fonts and displays into itself, and each version of GoldMine was designed around specific versions of IE.
