Going from Maxi to Mega upgrade question

Should be an easy question, but I wanted to double check on something- I've done a combo card 6 to 12 port expansion in the past with no issues, however I have a customer that has a Maxi system with a services cartridge in slot 2, 5.1 XC software.

If I'm needing to upgrade to a Mega system, and replace the services cartridge with a Combo card, will I have to worry about the system doing a cold restart? I don't want to take this down during the middle of the afternoon to discover that I have to reprogram 100+ telephones with a pissed off customer breathing down my neck.

Essentially, I'm wanting to do the upgrade in such a way as to ensure NOT having to do a reprogram .

The software doesn't see the services card as part of the hardware config as such. Removing the card and replacing its function with a combo card will not have the same effect as removing an expansion card. Adding the 2nd 6-port will be transparent to the system, but your DN numbering may not be sequential.
