I have a site that has two users that get a connection error when trying to log into their Gnav Client. I confirmed that username, password, and server address are correct. Are there certain ports that need to be allowed through the firewall to allow them to connect?

Windows OS version?

GNAV server/client Version?

I belive they are running windows 10 and the Gnav version is 11.4.94

I was able to find the ports that should be opened up through the firewall, so Im hoping that does the trick, but also if it doesn't maybe there is something else I may be missing?

Older versions of GNAV had an issue with permissions. NEC advised giving the GNAV folder full permissions to "EVERYONE" but I never liked that idea. If the error message is related to connecting to the database you may want to give the users specific log on account full control of the GNAV folder in Program Files folder.

That issue was with Windows 7 and I have not seen it on Windows 10.

What is the message they are receiving?
