gmlink to Word wants to save merged document before closing.

Some users on some machines always get the Word prompt to save the merged document, which we do not want. Others do not have this problem. This has been a problem for some time, have researched and searched forums but can't find any references to similiar problem. Changing the macro security level does not help. Who else has seen and fixed this issue? Thanks, Mike R

(GM 6.7, clients are W2Kpro or XPPro, Office 2K, GMLink 6.5.75.)
 
We are having the same issue with word prompting to save document afetr the merge, did you find a solution?
 
Nope, rmcar, no fix yet. I think my users have just gotten used to it happening occasionaly, and their workaround (exit GM, then relaunch), works. So, I don't hear from them about it so much, and without any leads on the core cause, my urgency has waned . . .
 
In the document management center in GoldMine, in the properties of the document template, is the 'Link to Doc' option selected?

Yes, it is. To be honestly perfect, I don't understand what that means though.
 
It means you want to save a copy of the merged document and link it to the contact record on the links tab in GoldMine. This is why it's asking for a filename. :)
