hello:

Ok, I guess I am at a loss where else to look here.
I have an IX 5.3 system, someone has changed the enviroment, where if you type env, when logged in as any user, its settings are not what they should be.
I have looked in /etc/enviroment /etc/security
the .profile

and I can not find where this is set at, can someone direct me or offer me to the right place.?
thanks
scott

Well, that does not have what i see when i type env.

I am seeing a lot of path settings, java settings
dir settings and aliases.

etc/profile does not have any of this, nor does .profile
or the enviroment file in /etc

i guess that is why i am confused?

What shell are your users using?

if cshell , look for .login or .cshrc

Also, look for a line like

[tt]. /path/to/other/file[/tt]

in /etc/profile
