Hi All

We have to make a change to all currently used DN's so that our call reporting software will show all internal calls that the users are making.

Does anyone know how to make a global class of service change instead of going into every single luve extension. We need to change ICDD to ICDA.

Thanks

You can't do that. And for a good reason. If you mass change things it affects all sets in the data base. Well, chances are some of those sets are ACD programmed and those particular sets have dependencies in their data base stats. There are fields tied to other fields and if one field changes and the tied field doesn't it causes corruption in the data base. Then weird bad things usually start to happen. CLS happens to be one of those fields tied to other fields.

Find someone with a copy of Procomm+ and script the change you need to make. Then you can differentiate between the regular sets and the ACD ones, scripting the latter to properly step through the whole of the set programming.

First, collect a print of the set TN's .. use the Excel parse tools from links within this forum to collate into usable data. Segregate the sets that you want to modify onto a separate spreadsheet. Using Procomm or ZOC, you need to capture the process of changing one of the targer TN's...

Now using Word Mail Merge, using the captured "change" file as the Form Document, substitute the entered TN with a "field "marker from the Excel sheet correlating to the TN column. Complete the mail merge and the resultant "Letters" will be the input script to be run via Procom or ZOC.

If I remember rightly, the mail merge process is listed on this forum too .. both from Mikes Cookbook ..

Yes, of course. You could also use REXX with the ZOC extensions to script the changes. I always forget about that since I always used the ASPECT scripting in Procom.

You can use parser "M1 Sets from TNB" and script "m1tz" for PAS (PBX Administration Studio).
It's the best solution for mass changes. It will not drop active calls and return to busy ports later.

what release you on? Early releases if you have a TM or later releases under phones in Element Manager. Select the phones you want to change, more actions "edit" then choose the CLS you want to alter and add. Then just set old/new values and save.
