Glitch in Backup Exec when going to daylight saving time 1

Our full backups started on Thursday at 12:am instead of Friday 7:00 p.m. Does anybody know about this problem?

Hi,

I have seen it go from 11:00 PM to 12:00 AM. I have seen the jobs increment by 1 hour but not more than that. If you didn't catch if Monday morning it should only have affected the job after DST which is Monday, after that it reverts back to it's original time. This is because the job is resubmitted.

I don't know if there is a fix for it. Since it was only a one time deal I did not investigate further.

I work for a reseller and have seen it on many of our clients.

I had the same problem on all my backups. But since it was a 1 time deal I wasn't too concerned about it either...

our backup didnt even run that night. no error log, no backup, nada.

We've been experiencing this on several servers since the time change.

The Veritas knowledge base didn't really help, so a call was placed to their support number.

According to two different CS Reps, this is a known issue in newer versions of BE. We're running three different versions at my company.

8.6 does NOT have the problem
9.0 and 9.1 DO have the problem

Both techs went on to say that they know of no plans to fix it in hotfixes or patches. Instead, they are planning on addressing the issue in the next major release, which I would assume would be 10.0.

I guess they figure since it only affects users twice-a-year that it isn't on their hot list.
