We have 11 companies in ACCPAC 5.4A in SQL. Two of our comnaies when we try to print a GL Transaction listing by selecting the proper accounts and periods, and so forth and after clicking the print button we recieve another sheet asking for further parameters. It is only happening in two of the eleven companies and I am not sure of why this has happened. Any insight on how to have the report print porperly would appreciated.

Go to Administrative Services, Customization Directories.
What do you see there?

I do have customized settings setup but for myself I have no customization directorie setup for this certain company database.

It must be pulling different reports or something, check the report name and folder in the preview screen.

In what preview screen are you talking about when I print the report in a company that works the report used is GLPTLS1.RPT which is located in C:\Program FIles\ACCPAC\GL54A\ENG.

I tried printing again and entered in the parameters that it was asking for and the error message "This field name is not known". In the preview screen it shows the following, "G\L Transaction Listing - [Preview for C:\Program Files\Accpac\gl54A\ENG\glptls1.RPT]".

Clearly, that report has been customized (badly), even though it's in the standard folder. Replace it with the stock report by reinstalling GL and the latest SP.

I figured the problem with the report as being that the sample company database was set as inactive and there was a subreport that had a field from the database in it. Removed the field that from inactivated database saved over the report and it now prints properly.
