GL batch number jumped

In accpac version 5.4. yesterday GL batch number jumped from 012... to 122..
can any body tell me the cause of the problem and the way to rectify it.

Actualy client is asking for the reson of it.

There must be a custom program causing it. You are the only person who has ever reported this problem.
