Hi All,

I have a 2 Lim BC9 system working with a GJUL4 link without GS.
Now I bought another 2 GJUL4 cards.
Is there any limitation where to put GJUL4 card in both LIM?
I mean of course it must be a 32 TS slot, but do they have to be on the same position (1-1-00<->2-1-00)?

The existing GJUL4 cards are working this way.
Is the GJLII the right command to make work the link?

When I see GJTSP, some EQUs are connected to itself, is it normal?

Thanks in advance!

As long as all 32 timeslots are free you can put a GJUL board anywhere, they don't have to be the same at either end.

So you could put one in 1-2-00 and the other in 2-1-60 if you wanted.

In a two LIM system without a group switch only the parameter EQU is required. The parameter GSMULT is optional, but omitting it will result in a random value. To gain information about selected value on GSMULT. In this type of configuration the connected GJU-L boards in both LIMs must have the same equipment position. The PCM-line must be initiated in both LIMs.

By the way the maximum number of GJUL4 per lim is eight "8".

Hi Extension Manager !
You should put GJUL4 boards in same position in both LIMs. Once I did not take care about this rule and I could not do the backup on HDU. Backup always stopped at one of the program units.
Try it yourself...

After putting the cards on the same position it looks working.

But I got the alarm for the new card:

115 SIGNAL PACKET LENGTH REDUCED
DATE TIME ALP NOIF EQU BRDID INF1
16JUN03 08:49:03 1 1 001-1-00-00 36 1

What's this?

And also strange this:

<gjlsp:print=all;
GROUP JUNCTOR LINE STATUS
EQU = 1-0-00-0 GS-MULT 0-0
GS SIDE 0 ACTIVE ACTIVATED SIGNALLING MASTER LINK
SIDE 0 ALARM 0000 0000 0000 0000

EQU = 2-0-00-0 GS-MULT 0-1
GS SIDE 0 ACTIVE ACTIVATED SIGNALLING SYNC RECEIVING
SIDE 0 ALARM 0011 0010 0000 0000

EQU = 1-1-00-0 GS-MULT 0-6
GS SIDE 0 ACTIVE ACTIVATED NOT SIGNALLING NO CLOCK CONTROL
SIDE 0 ALARM 0010 0010 0000 0000

EQU = 2-1-00-0 GS-MULT 0-7
GS SIDE 0 ACTIVE ACTIVATED NOT SIGNALLING NO CLOCK CONTROL
SIDE 0 ALARM 0010 0000 0000 0000

Not signalling, No clock control?
Any idea?

Thanx,

EM

Only one link per LIM has Clock control and again only one link is signalling. This is not a problem, should the signalling/Sync link fail the other will take over these functions.

The second link will be taking traffic, you can check this with the command LSCOP:LIM=1; this shows internal connections and will include some to the GJUL cards.
