We are out of IP addresses in a LAN which are routable IP's and we require some more IP's . Could any one give me an example scenario to solve this probelm?

Thanks,

Well the scenario you have just outlined (i.e. lack of address space) is the most compelling reason to use PAT on a network.

Did you also require configuration steps to achieve what you want? And if so, what kind of router do you have?

Thank you for your reply.

Cisco 7206 router.

Hi,
I need a configuration if all the Ethernets are assaigned IP address and in production. Then How will I assaign inside and outside interfaces. This is my question. Please give me the configuration with this type of scenario.

Thanks
