can someone tell me how to turn my movie into a gif..
i went to publish setting and used gif, but it does not break it up into sepert files just one file..

is there another setting??

Use File> Export Movie> Animated GIF to create the GIF.

Keep in mind that only things that are in the main timeline will be shown in the gif (that means no symbol in a symbol in a symbol...) regards

OK then how can i merge all the symbols into 1 timeline?

you will have to do all animations on the main timeline. using symbols won't work. quite long winded but as far as i know the only way. regards
