Is anyone else having this problem?
I have a newly GHOST image on a harddrive.
It let's me GHOST it to only one PC.
After GHOSTING a second PC I get the Blue Screen of Death on bootup.
If I install the Source harddrive to check the image,I get the Blue Screen of Death on it also.

I been running the SYSPREP TOOL to remove the SID and it works great for the first PC.
But if I go to another PC the GHOST won't work.
The SYSPREP TOOL requires that you have a Win2000 install for the TOOL to work.
But if both of my GHOST images are now getting the Blue Screen, I can't remove the SID anymore.

I do not have this problem with 95 & 98 machines.
I them I can make one GHOST image and GHOST as many PC's as I want.

What's going on?

Yes I'm running a test of this Ghost software and cloneing on the same PC.
It's all happening on one single workstation.
I remove the orignal drive and replace it with another and cloned drive and get the problem.

What does the blue screen say? (is it just a memory dump).

If the hardware is exactly the same check the bios level and maybe try flashing the bios to the latest. New Zealand, a great place to visit.

Are you running sysprep before you clone the pc or after? What version of ghost are you running? If it's only happening on one pc and you've already swapped hd's out and the problem remains, start swapping hardware w/ a pc that's not having the bsod.

I found out the problem is a Micorsoft issue.
Windows 2000 does not like to be cloned from different motherboards.
Microsoft has a fix for it.
The problem is IDE Driver related.
Different motherboards have different IDE Drivers so there is the problem.
You have to make a floppy with the drivers and copy them to the SysPrep floppy.

You must have a different mass storage controller in the 2nd PC. Even if the pc is the same on the outside the manucturer may have changed hardware mid production on a line.
