I have an 8410D phone that will ring, very intermittent, and nobody will be on the other end. It may happen a half dozen times a week. This is not a phone that is used regularly, so when it does ring it gets answered.....and nobody there sometimes. Any thoughts on to why this happening?

have you tried to remove the station , add another station of a different number on that physical port save trans , remove new station and re-create old one ... worth a shot as this could be bug related.

are there any alarms/errors showing in the system ?

When you do a list measurements ip dsp-resource gw summary < last-hr, today, yest> are you reaching peak at any point in the day ?

I faintly remember a while back a few users at remote site saying that they were getting calls with no one there or disconnecting. It ended up being a DSP resource issue. We were reaching max.

I have not tried removal of X8111 station and establishing another...to see if a 'bug' situation. I am hearing a modem, or dial tone attempting to dial, from the incoming ghost call.

I did a list measurements ip dsp-resource summary. Populates with Hour 11 Region 1. DPS usage is 549.9. How can I read or tell if I am peaking or what the peak should be?

list measurements ip dsp-resource gw summary today

Look at the resource capacity, resource peak, and %Out-of-service. This tells you if you have a DSP resource issue.

My screen does not read like yours does, should I be concerned about % of srv? being .24?

Are you displaying in GEDI or Emulation ? Emulation seems to display smoother for me. Also are you running the command with the last hour, today or yesterday ? Next time you get a "ghost call " run it with last-hr and see if you were at capacity. It looks like you were pretty close to the Rsrc Capty of 192 ( at 189.6)at the time of this measurement. Are there any alarms in the CM ? When I was having an issue I was getting the CMG 35 Alarm.

Here is an update to the incoming ghost calls situation. I did a trace out on the phone by dialing 800 444-4444, and it came back with information that I was on Verizon as 978 863-9858? I did this trace callout a few times and provides me with the same number as feedback...978 863-9858. This is not the number that is supposed to be the direct call in number. It is supposed to be 978 640-8111. I have posed question and opened ticket with Verizon, but this is not getting corrected fast enough. Has anyone else seen or heard about this? A routing or line definition\accounting problem? Verizon problem all the way....right?

That caller ID is not reliable for the calling party number when calling a toll free. It might be reading back the BTN for your PRI.
