Hi all,

Im rather new to Netbackup and am struggling with getting GFS jobs working ! I have a job that I have setup as a test, all full jobs, 1 is daily 2 is weekly and 3 is monthly, they each have a different retention period. How do I make it so the system will backup the one with the highest retension period for that day ?
I can't seem to get this to work properlly and this really caused me alot of problems with 3 full jobs running for out year end, all with different retention periods..

Any ideas would be appreciated

Cheers
Ant

Are you using frequency based or calendar based schedules?

Hi there Stumpr, im using calendar based scedules.

Easiest way is to make sure the backup window is the same for all of the schedules and then use the exclude feature.

righto so I just have to manually exclude the dates, bit of a shame that it can't do it automatically ! nevermind

Ant

You can do it via the CLI
