if i insert mailto:....@....com in to the getURL command

i insert swf into my html editor, than if i previeuw, it auto loads the mailto command, howe can i undo this command, so it dosent auto load the mailto address.

sound like you have this action on its own (not inside a function) on a frame which would explain why its triggered right away

its a button fuction, but i don't no howe to input the geturl someweir els.

you only want the mail sent when the button is pressed so give the button an instance name (submit_btn, say) then to the frame actions add

submit_btn.onRelease = function(){
getURL................
}
