Hello there,
I'm sorry, I am probably missing somthing very very obvious but i cannot get the object snap toolbar to be displayed!!!
I go view -> Toolbars -> Toolbars -> ObjectSnap. in the settings it says on by default show.
but i can never see it?!
I really need to use it!
I'm totally self taught in CAD so i am probably missing something obvious.
I have just got AutoCad 2007 and had been previously using Cad98!
Please help me!!
It will be appreciated!
cheers,
Iain

Hi,

I've had that trouble before, its probably off-screen somewhere and un-grabbable. I did manage to sort it out before but i can't remember (mental block, grrr), but to be going on with, you can bring up the ObjectSnap menu anytime you need it by holding SHIFT and clicking the RIGHT MOUSE button. This can be done in the middle of a command too..

I never use the toolbar, i just bring up the menu when i need it, but every user is different..

Anyway, will try to rack my brains and get back to you on the toolbar situation..

Cheers,

Paul @ basepointdesignzltd..

It is off screen, and you have to bring it back like this:
Type in the command line:

-toolbar (including dash)

AutoCAD answers with:

Enter toolbar name or [ALL]:

You enter your toolbar name <Object_Snap>

Now it ask for an option

Enter an Option [Show/Hide/Left/Right/Top/Bottom/Float] <Show>:

Enter: F for Float

Enter new position (screen cordinates):

You enter for example 100,100

And you shoud see your toolbar.
