Hi All,
I am fairly new to Illustrator, I am trying to fill a letter with a flag effect but dont want to have anything left in the background.
and the whole thing has to be vector.
What I have done so far is this.
Created the letter X and converted it to lines.
Loaded a vector flag file and placed the X lines over it.
Created a clip mask, this works, I now have the letter X filled with the Union Jack, however there is still the rest of the flag invisible behind it. I know that this should not be an issue but as I will not be the only person using this file and dont want people to be able to change it, I would like to get rid of everything except the X shape and the flag area that is filling it. Does this make sense? is it possible to put the X over the flag and just slice through it to get an X shaped bit of flag?
Cheers,
Gee
Oh I am using CS3...
