While I was at work I downloaded an example off the internet and now I can't get rid of it. It is called funcres (FUNCRES.XLA). When I go to delete it I get asked for a password. Any help would be Great.
For just $19.95 you too can have a beautiful smile.
I don't know if this will be any use.
You didn't specify if you're removing via excel or externally.
I had a similar problem once, closed all applications and renamed the extention of the offending file. On restart it was no longer recognized by Excel as a valid add-in.
Another option is simply to remove it via the "c" prompt or windows explorer... you also mentioned you were at work so it could be an administrator restriction on your machine (strange that they'd let you download it though).
Before removing something check the names again. AFAIK, funcres.xla is MS add-in which comes with excel and provides additional financial and scientific functions. To remove its functionality, simply uncheck Analysis ToolPack in Tools>Addins dialog. This, however, will not remove it from the disk.
It seems that you try to remove the add-in by VB editor add you are asked for a password to view the project. If the thing was installed in an a programme-like installation, close excel first and go add/remove programs in control panel. It is likely that you find it here.
Anyway, it would be good to check application's name first.
