Well I am completely flustered here. Updating a website and using Dreamweaver MX. The 'old' site works but needs major facelift. After creating brand new 'index.htm' locally, as well as other pages, it works fine (locally).

As soon as I push it out to the web server (Win 2000) and replace the 'index.htm' I get "You are not authorized to view this page" when I try to access it from my browser (IE 6). I move the old pages back to where they were and it works fine again.

Please help as I am going nuts and I am starting to think the old web pages have their own thoughts about my job security.

Thanks in advance!!

do you have the site anywhere we can see it? Or make sure that your host hasnt set default.htm. as the main page.
