Hi...

System - CRXI

I have a group sort in place, stock transaction, it identifies whether the stock came in or out. I have a summary in the group footer showing the total qty. What i now need to do is Stock in - Stock out to show the difference... (i.e. did we order too much in)

But i cant work out how to do this, as they are the same group summary field.....

Any help much appreciated

I have decided to do this using variables (only way i can think of doing..)

So i now have 2 formulas acting as my summaries....

These display and work correctly, however, when i try to call the variable into another formula, it always returns a 0..... so i am unable to do stockin - stockout :(

Any idea why it wouldnt be passing the variable? the variables are in Group Header 1

Too little information to properly assess.

Variables obviously work fine, so you need to specify where you are using the variables, and the formulas within.

In general successful posts include:

Crystal version (you did this)
Database/connectivity used
Example data
Expected output

Text descriptions generally fall short of properly describing an environment/requirement.

1. Check the rounding/decimal places if it is a number type.
2. Put brackets arond calculations to ensure they are executed as per your need.

I faced the same problem. Above were the solutions.
