I am new to databse and cr. I have a cr 10. I am getting data from sql. In one table, I am pulling user text and id numbers from table Record where the "user id" Field in that table is named EDI_Id. I also want to get this user Last name but it is in another table User_Profile where user id field is named User ID. When I combine the two table Crystal shows nothing. Is this because no relaionship between the tables? Is there a way to get user id from Record table and last Name from User_Profile. Even though no relationship between the two.
Thanks in advance!

To "match" records from two tables requires a relationship between the two tables. It doesn't matter if the field names are different in the tables, as long as the "Id" fields are the same type (ie numeric or text) and contain the same value. Try linking table Record.EDI_Id to table User_Profile.User_Id. If EDI_Id and User_Id are the same type and contain the same value for a user then the tables should link fine.
