Hi all.

Due to being ill, I am currently having to work from home, which is a bit of a pain as I live in the country and so I am only on a dial up connection. This makes working on web applications a bit of a pain as I have to keep the painfully slow Internet connection open all of the time so that I can access the databases that are stored on various web servers.

My question is: Is it possible to use a program, such as the MySQL Control Center, to download a MySQL database so that I can access it locally? I do not have access to the database files for several of the sites that I am currently doing maintenance work on, as they are hosted with other companies. This is a relatively simple process with MSSQL Enterprise Manager, but I can not figure out how to do it with MySQL.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Stephen.

Its ok. I have found the MySQL Front Program, which has done exactly what I am after, and extremely well I might add.

Regards.

Stephen.

Can you explain how you did it? I can't seem to find the tool you refer to.
