We are running an IP Office 406 chassis on a little older software 3.2(17). Most all of our desk phones are the Avaya 5410 models. When you plug one in at a desk, the LCD will flash with 5410, Rel:2.0, Please wait......
After a few seconds, the correct name/extension comes up and all is well. I recently purchased a few used 5410 phones, and one of those apparently had been used on a newer software version (I assume). When plugging that in, the LCD reads Rel:5.0, and it never comes up with extension. Just sits on Please Wait.......
In fact, when I plugged that phone in, it momentarily took down the Avaya expansion module it was plugged in to. If my assumption is correct that the phone is running newer software, is there a way to flash it back to Rel:2.0 that other phones work fine on? Or somehow force my PBX to work with it?
