Hello,
I have set up our Auto Attendant in Modular Messaging. I am wondering what I have to do in Avaya Site Administration in order for the Main number to get to the Auto Attendant?
Thanks in advanced for you help! :)
Alan

How did you setup the Auto Attendant in MM ? With a caller app or using the default attn and the .OVF file.

I set up the default. We do not have an operator and we just need to have some calls transferred to depts. Thanks for your help Ken!!

When I dial the main number, it does go to the extension specified on the Receptionist tab under the Telephone User Interface. I just can't seem to get it to go through the Auto Attendant prompts. Hmmm. Any Ideas??

So when you dial the main number it just transfers to the operator or does it go to that mailbox number?

We do not have an operator anymore (love this economy!) just an ext with a mailbox. HR would like there to be options when people dial the main number to go to certain dept's. It seemed easy enough to just use the Auto Attendant in Mod Mess. If I change the ext in the receptionist tab, it will ring the new ext, so I know it is hitting that part. I just do not get what triggers the prompts??

Any ideas? I also just tried setting up a Caller app that is unable to transfer to ext. It identifies the ext correctly but gives a message that states 'This is not a valid mailbox'. Geez, I thought this would be easy! :)

Have you recorded the greeting in the custompromts.ovf file ?

Thanks Ken, Yes I did. In fact it looks like it was saved in the wrong format. After changing the format it is working like a charm now. I used the OHV live mode to see that it was not playing the prompts.

Thanks for your help and replies!
