Getting around the Network Admin - insufficient privileges

Hi,

I am in a office setting, and the remote (in another area, all the time) network admin put up restrictions on downloading. I was looking to download Ad-aware or Microsoft antispyware. Both times I was denied, saying it the installer has insufficient privileges to acess this directory C:\ProgramFiles\Microsoft. Is there any way around this?

What about asking your network admin to think about installing Ad-aware MS anti spyware...

Just have the idea that what you are trying to do is exactly the reason why your network admin uses his ways of disabling it.

I would if I could get a hold of the network admin, but I can't and my computer is super slow, programs keep freezing, and it is driving me a little crazy.

Try the Helpdesk/Desktop support group and/or your direct supervisor to have someone put pressure on them that you cannot adequately perform your job functions.

Anything beyond that is going to cause you a greater deal of headaches, write ups, and/or termination.

I just pleaded my case for the third time, it just gets so stressful. Seems like all work is done on the computer.
