getting actionscript to Play

Hi, I am a newbie to actionscript.
I have a maintimeline and in the library is a movieclip call Apple.

I am trying to use a script on frame 1 of the main timelie to play my apple movieclip (no conditions) but cant get it to do it. Can anyone give me a code example of how this can be achieved?
