im trying to install the remote agent on to 3 new comuters that were added to our network. every computer in our network runs windows 2000. these 3 computers are running XP. I did check and the xp firewalls are turned off. i'm running veritas 9.1 and i click on tools > serials numbers and installations > and then when I click on remote installs and select those computers and enter the administrative netowrk login it comes back with access denied. any ideas? thanks in advance.

Can you log onto those machines using the network admin account without going through Veritas? (Just to check to see if the account really works).

yes i can login with that information

Are you positive the XP firewall is turned off? One of the defaults blocks Backup Exec 8.6.
