I was wondering if anyone know what will happen if I switch
out mobos. Will my hard drive notice anything has changed?

It should do. But you'll need to backup and keep your new drivers in hand. It may be best to boot through to safe mode when you 1st put the new motherboard in and install the drivers from there. Good luck

Connecting a hard drive with operating system installed to a new motherboard may or may not work .Windows will need to reload all its drivers - which sometimes results in an unusable system - or may cause problems in future. Also, it may just not boot. Best to remove devices in device manager on the old system before putting in new. If running XP, a repair reinstall may be necessary.

Or it may all just work after a few reboots.

BACK UP DATA BEFORE DOING THIS.
