I am currently using getdate() in one of my queries as such:

where checkdate = getdate().. problem with this is it prints out the time: 2009-10-23 09:38:48.673

How can I set getdate() to not include the time:

2009-10-23 00:00:00.000

Thanks!!!

I think I may have wandered into a lost episode of "Big Bang Theory" here; which one of you is Sheldon?

[wink]

Happy Friday, y'all!

Heh... seems like it, doesn't it?

Eric, nice job on the proof. It does in fact show that the underlying structure are integers just a MS says. Heh... maybe it'll help me to not think of it that way. ;-)

He is Erik with a K, but I make the same mistake all the time.

Thanks for the compliment. I appreciate that.

I AM interested in why the convert to float works and the convert to datetime doesn't. I'm actually about 1/3rd done with a big blog post about number data types and their conversion (totally unrelated to you or this topic) and maybe in that exploration I'll learn something useful to help explain that.

I had to look up "Big Bang Theory" and Sheldon... funny.

"As a theoretical physicist, he possesses a master's degree, two Ph.D.s, and an IQ of 187. He exhibits a strict adherence to routine; a lack of understanding of irony, sarcasm and humor; and a complete lack of humility. These characteristics are the main sources of his character's humor and the center of a number of episodes.
