get rid of "Power scan" junk... 1

Users PC has "power scan" rubbish on it cant uninstall without downloading utility from site...dont want to install ne more junk, have been in registry trying to find which key loads it on startup and have found a couple but the thing still loads - are there ne other places to look which will stop this thing loading on startup

Hi

If you are running 98, then use MSConfig to look at the registry, INI and startup groups.
If you are using 95, then get hold of the free Startup control panel from

http://www.mlin.net

which does the same thing.

Remove any dodgy items, then reboot into safe mode to see if you can rename the existing file (so it won't load at startup), reboot back to ensure it works fine, then do a full virus and spyware scan with up to date checkers.
